I lived in Vallejo for over 20 years and never visited this hidden gem. Is rough looking from the outside and the area is truly a country style dinner. It you can get over that, ones you are inside you are in for an amazing experience with the sitting areas that is very spacious and nostalgic old school but we'll care for. Our host Kristen was very tentative to our needs and made great suggestion.Prices are fair for the size of your meals. We order classic burgers omelette and a special of the day pork chops that where amazing. I will come back to this dinner more often specially for their house potatoes, oh my delish!!!

Great place for breakfast and lunch. I had a great breakfast there. I look forward to having lunch there. The staff are super friendly as well.

If your looking for a homemade feel or a mom & pops feel this is definitely it, it’s delicious but the quality of food is like we make at home.. that’s why I say 3-4 stars definitely eat here since I’m a local though!

It was pretty busy so I thought it must be really good, but I was mistaken. I got a simple steak and eggs, cooked medium. My steak was fatty, well done and tough. The service was just ok.

Super friendly waitress and food arrived quickly. You can have any omlet made into a burrito. I enjoyed the Ortega omlet and it was delicious.

Finally, a good homemade chicken fries steak!!!!! Good hospitality and flawless service, makes this cafe the pick of the day.....

We had a nice stack of pancakes for Mother's day breakfast, which is exactly what mom wanted.They were very busy, but that did not effect our great service. The cooks here were awesome and served us generous portions.I have been a patron of Canyon Cafe for many years. I always get the best food and service that anyone could ask for.All American food like you used to get in the 50's and 60's, the omletes are really good, actually I have never ordered anything that wasn't good.Always go for their specials of you don't know what you want, they are usually incredible and the prices are low to moderate.I will definitely be there again soon.

This restaurant is my preferable site. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant. Whenever I I need a proper lunchon, this is the place that comes straightaway to my mind. extremely good and many types of food and a rich menu.professional staff, and nice mood. Also important, the cost is good. I praise this restaurant with no doubt.

Good food, good prices, friendly staff, and clean cafe. Never had a bad experience here. In a town where almost everything is either fast food or getting more expensive, it's nice to have a sit down comfort food eatery.

When I went to that place it was amazing.

Food was very good! Ordered scrambled eggs with veggies. Potatoes were well seasoned. The server was very nice and didn't charge for cheese or extra veggies. It took a while for food to come out but the wait was well worth it.

Good decaf served here. Food is plenteous and affordable. Service is friendly and attentive. We had a delicious (albeit very late) Saturday brunch well after the crowd left. Place was quiet with a few tables. This used to be an A&W Drive-In back in the day - the drive in area now serves as shady covered parking.

We enjoy to go out. Yesterday we came to this fine restaurant which we didn’t know before. We enjoyed a beautiful time there with exceptional food and a well-trained stuff and a talented cook. We put this place in our phone list and we shall definitely come back very soon. We deeply recommend.

Good place to eat at I enjoyed my meal

It was a simple order expecting fresh strawberry because the menu says “Fresh Strawberry .” My order came out and it was old looking strawberry sauce. It looked so unappetizing that I didn't even want to eat it. On top of the order not being what was stated on the menu, the server made a mistake with which bread went with which order. This wouldn’t have been an issue, but she corrected it by using her bare hands to switch the breads. She was nice enough to bring a new waffle with just banana but then proceeded to cut it at the table again using her bare hands. Overall everyone in our group wasn’t satisfied and the food is not very good. If I could give less than one star I would.

Wonderful old-school diner. Counter seating, and nice staff! My 3 egg omelet with hash browns and two pieces of toast were delicious and only $11 after tax ! I was quickly seated, my meal was delivered very fast!

Sherrie was the nicest server ever and the food was great!! Burgers and a spinach mushroom omelet! The home potatoes are off the chart delicious!!
